New British Landscapes

Dan Walwin’s film The Other presents a barren yet perhaps redemptive landscape, in which a subject attempts to understand himself as part of that nature. However, in this almost Kafka-esque atmosphere of futility and protracted tensions, lies a threatening paradox.
